Linux Resources
Are you new to Linux (or even know what it is)? This page of links will help get you from newbie to..well more informed at least. I can't promise you that you will be any smarter than before you hit this page. That is because there is no magic pill, quick guide or insider shortcut to becoming an expert at ANYTHING. If you want mad skilz as a netadmin or 3733t3 hacker, you better learn more than just to type bad. You need to actually work at it. If it was just-that-simple then wouldn't everyone do it?
The good news is that you do NOT need to go out and buy a dummies book or spend a dime anywhere. There are plenty of resources out there for free. The documentation may be incomplete and sometimes outdated, but it is a start. And it is free. This page will organize the various resources I have found helpful. They are not in any particular order. May the source be with you

Install Knoppix to Hard drive. Knoppix is a CDROM (debian based) Linux distribution that runs entirely from a booted CD! You don't need a hard drive in the PC at all, just alot of RAM (256MB is OK, more is better). This link shows you how to install it to the hard drive (VERY easy and runs quicker that way). Requires 2.5 gig of HD space plus space for swap file.
Create a CDRom distro. This link shows you how to customize your own version of Knoppix.

Linux certifications on the rise I would suggest LPI or RedHat certification, as CompTIA exams are not as respected in the Linux community (from what I have experienced). You also have to evaluate why certain companies offer certifications. Is it to create a reliable pool of professionals, or just a way to make alot of money by charging $200 per exam fee.
